Llanos del Sur Photovoltaic Plant

Llanos del Sur Photovoltaic Plant

We chose a vast expanse near Choluteca, one of the oldest colonial cities in Honduras, to build our first photovoltaic plant.

It consists of a field of solar panels divided into sectors, a control building, and a power line taking the electricity to the substation.

Local workers and companies participated in the construction. The maintenance unit consists mainly of local professionals. We also made grants that contribute to the development of three nearby communities.

We reforested an area near the plant with autochthonous species. Maintenance work includes caring for the trees and clearing brush to prevent wildfires.
