Location

Las Casillas 1 wind farm is located in San Bartolomé de Tirajana (Gran Canaria Island), where Ecoener has more parks in operation, Llanos de la Aldea, San Bartolomé, El Rodeo and La Caleta.

The five wind turbines that make up the park have the tip of the blades painted red, thus helping to prevent birds from colliding with the wind turbine. In addition, infrared cameras and illuminators have been installed in three wind turbines in order to reduce the risk of collision of the most sensitive birds; It is a state-of-the-art system, TrackBird, which avoided wind turbines when it detected birds by targeting them.
