Pena Ventosa Booster Substation

The Pena Ventosa substation (Lugo, Spain) is built next to a pre-existing substation; to raise the site to the necessary level, a retaining wall had to be built. We planted a vertical garden of autochthonous plants to minimise the environmental impact of the structure. The control panels and protection cells are housed in a small off-white building.
