The Tijarafe wind farm, together with Jedey, Timijiraque, Las Tricias and La Sabina, have been a milestone in Ecoener's history and in that of the island of La Gomera, as they were executed in just five months with a significant effort, given the orographic and meteorological conditions of the area where they are located and the important logistical effort involved in developing a project of these characteristics in such a short period of time.
The new wind farms in La Gomera have the capacity to supply renewable energy to almost 11,000 homes, exceeding the island's current demand, and will prevent the emission of more than 23,000 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere.
